How winners are chosen

A fair score, then a real jury

The score puts every idea on the same footing. The ranking is human — and the two are kept separate on purpose.

  1. 1

    Every idea is scored

The same six parameters and the same weights for every entry, in every city.

  2. 2

    A real jury reads it

The strongest entries of the round go to that city’s jury in full — and the list is never cut through the middle of a tie. Each juror picks their own top three.

  3. 3

    The city’s top three

The organisers combine the jurors’ picks, confirm the three, and the prizes are given at the host college.

The score is context for the jury, never the ranking itself — how judging works.
