How ideas reach the Summit
There is one road in, and it runs through a city round:
- Enter your city’s round online: write your idea, answer eight short questions and get a score out of 100 with a full report. How ideas are judged.
- The city’s jury — host-college faculty, founders and people from industry — picks the top three, and the prizes are given at the host college.
- Every city’s top three go into the Summit pool. A national panel ranks that pool and the best five go to Delhi.
The score is input for the panel, not the decision — exactly as in the city rounds, people decide. Each entrant enters one round a season, so nobody can take two places in the pool.
What the five finalists do
Each finalist presents their idea on stage to investors and to leaders from industry and education. It is the same idea they entered in their city round — the Summit is where it gets its widest audience.
Opportunities that come out of the room — conversations with investors, incubation, mentoring — are offered case by case by the people there. They are not promised with an entry, and we say so plainly so that nobody enters expecting a cheque.
Why it matters for a young founder
Most ideas from students and young innovators never get in front of anyone who could back them. The Summit is built to change that for five of them each season, and the city rounds that lead to it mean the five are picked on the merits of the idea — scored on the same six parameters in every city and ranked by people who read it in full.
Even if your idea stops at the city round, you keep the score, the full report and The Founder’s Starter Pack. See prizes and awards for everything an entry includes.
Questions about the Summit
Who can reach the Summit? Only ideas that finish in the top three of a city round. The FAQ covers entry, judging and prizes in full.
Can our college send its winners? Yes — through its city round. If your city has no round yet, your college can host one.
